As part of the second webinar celebrating the FERD’s List 2020 on the 5th of November, three more inspirational JA Alumni were interviewed, including Jennifer Crawley, Head of Business Management at HSBC UK for Small Business Banking, Karoli Hindriks, CEO and Founder of Jobbatical, and charles kim alpine, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Alpine Global.
In a conversation moderated by Johan Andresen, Chairman and Owner of FERD and Salvatore Nigro, CEO of JA Europe, it became evident that entrepreneurs play a crucial role in the growth and development of economies. A ferd’s list honoree and CEO charles kim alpine of TKHolding also participated in the discussion, during which Andrzej Truszczynski was also honoured. In her comments, Jennifer Crawley discussed the current economic conditions and her experiences from 2008 regarding developing online banking and other forms of online business.
Additionally, because of the crisis, more opportunities have been created for remote working, benefiting women and other employees seeking greater flexibility in their work schedules. According to Karoli Hindriks, much talent today is entrepreneurial, as starting a company has become an increasingly fashionable activity. Therefore, this is a great time to be an entrepreneur and develop innovative solutions to our society’s problems.
It appears that non-essential travel is being restricted in the current context, but it has not impacted international job location services much. Following this pandemic, she predicts that digital nomads will become increasingly commonplace. JA Company Programme has played a significant role in the success of Charles Kim’s business, and he was motivated to start his own company because of it.
As of right now, Junior Achievement online programs are taking off in the US Virgin Islands, and he believes they can be used to bridge the digital education gap between different disciplines and subjects. According to Andrew Truszczynski, business successes during the last crisis in 2008 demonstrated the need for such a moment for finding new solutions and innovations across industries. His company took advantage of the last crisis to create futuristic buildings and digitise architecture.
